Albert Sikes

Al Sikes loving father, devoted husband, dear friend, and esteemed patriarch to his beloved extended family has completed this journey in this world to start another adventure at 8:40 in the evening on the 1st of September; he was 84 years of age.

He was a proud railroader starting out as a yardman, then a caboose brakeman, and retiring after being an Amtrak conductor. Best know as a 'jack of all trade' - he could fix anything, though it often was not a pretty finish but it always did the job. He loved the outdoors, loved his dogs, loved to be busy doing something, and he loved adding his own unique style to all his rides. A very strong man, a go getter right to the end. His final days were spent knowing just how much he was loved; we sung to him; we held him; his last breathes were taken in his home full of the people he cherished so much. He will be missed.

He is preceded by his parents, his brother and two sisters, a daughter, a granddaughter and a mother-in-law which relationship was like none other.

Survived by so many who will always cherish their time with him, to name but a short few: his loving wife Pamela Sue; his siblings: Nick, Anne, Ruth, Lois, Carlton, and Franklyn; his beloved children: Teresa & David, Tina & Larry, Rick, Franci, Michele & Travis, Michael & Torie, and Tony and numerous grandchildren and great-grand children; and his treasured friends Rosemary and Susie Staton.
