Antone Coutney DeCola 67 of Ft. Hall passed away July 2, 2016 from an extended battle with cancer. He was know to family and friends simply as “Dokes.”
He was born on September 29, 1949 along with his twin Buckley, to Romanzita and Max Blackhawk in Blackfoot, Id. He was adopted by Agnes and Alexander DeCola shortly after birth. Dokes grew up and lived most of his life in Ft. Hall, Id.
He married Jola LeBeau in the spring of 1970 and later divorced. Together they had two daughters Shawna and Brandy. He then later married his best friend Mary Miller on December 10th 1989 and became a father to her two daughters Honey and Lizabeth.
He attended St. Margaret’s Catholic school in Blackfoot, Id and gradated from Blackfoot High School. After finishing school he proudly served his country as a United States Marine. In 1973 he completed the diesel mechanics program and later received his associates degree. He worked multiple jobs though out his lifetime and later retired as a Crane operator with the 370 local union.
He spent most of his adult life as an avid motorcycle enthusiast who was a member of the Empties motorcycle Club for several years. He loved fishing, camping, and hunting with his family. He enjoyed attending car shows, gun shows, and watching movies.
His family will remember him for his amazing cooking and baking skills. He was a skilled handy man who could fix and make anything.
He is survived by his wife Mary DeCola. His daughters Shawna and Brandy DeCola, Honey Dixey, and Lizabeth (Daniel) Lopez . His grandchildren Alexandria Vallely, Jessica and Antone Hereford, Timber Wolf Davis, Sean Tindore, Angela, Alysa and Sienna Marshall, Ben-ami and Talise Decola, and Hazel Lopez. His great grandchildren BlueSky LittleThunder, and Majestic Hereford, Windy Rain White, and Luella Farmer.
He is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Josephine Thorpe, Parents, Alexander and Agnes DeCola, Siblings, Buckley, Jackie, and Rodney Blackhawk. As well as other family members.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday July 9, 2016 at Harvest Church 1100 Booth Dr. Pocatello ID 83201 at 11am. Directly following with a pot luck. In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to the American Cancer Society (2676 S. Vista Ave. Boise, ID 83705) to help fight against cancer.
