Cleoria Hancock 103 years loved, passed away on June 7th, approximately 3:10 PM at the Caring Hearts Assisted Living facility, in Pocatello, Idaho. Cleoria was born in Preston, Idaho on October 30, 1921 to Ester Iona Hatch and Claude Alder Wilcox. When Cleoria was fifteen her mother, Iona passed away and Claude married Vivian Sperling who became Cleoria’s loving step-mother.

Cleoria attended schools in Utah and Idaho until her graduation from Bear River High School in Garland-Tremonton, Utah at the ripe old age of 16. She attended The University of Idaho Southern Branch which latter became Idaho State University, to obtain her Elementary Teaching Certificate and later returned to obtain her Masters in Counseling.

After the war she and Dennis returned to Pocatello to rejoining Ray. Cleoria was hired as a teacher for School District 25 and taught for fourteen years at Whittier and Emerson Schools. She went on to earn her Masters in Counseling and worked as a counselor at Alameda Jr. High and Highland High School for 25 more years.

After Ray’s death and thirty-nine years working for School District 25, Cleoria retired. She received her endowments June 12, 1987 at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Cleoria’s biggest joy was her family. Her family grew from one son to six grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
