Curtis T Moore Jr. was born to Donna L Byington and Curtis T Moore Sr. on November 29th, 1950, at the former St Marres Hospital, later known as St. Anthony Hospital in Pocatello Idaho. He passed away on August 18th, 2025. Being born premature at approximately 3 lbs. He came into this world as a fighter, and he never stopped. At around 3 years old he was diagnosed with Polio and underwent multiple surgeries until he was 5 or 6. Being as determined as he was, he always found a way to overcome.
His first experience in the job force was selling magazines door to door as a teenager. This turned out to be a not so good life experience, so he then went to live with his Uncle Farrel in Lewiston Idaho. He worked at a pea canning factory there.
Upon returning to Pocatello, He met and married Reva Coy Simmons. Through this union 2 Daughters were born. Joyce Larie Moore and Marla Merlene Moore. They later divorced. He later met his sole mate in Phyllis Saxton. They were companions until she passed away in 2016. He worked multiple odd jobs throughout his life. One of his favorites was traveling across the U.S. selling small multi use hammers.
He faced more challenges in his life than any person should ever have to bear. Due to his Polio, he lived his life with Musculo/skeletal defects. He also faced intellectual challenges throughout his time here on Earth. However, he was faster on his crutches than most healthy people could run. Later in life he developed Post Polio syndrome as well as Rheumatoid arthritis that severely crippled his hands and feet. These eventually pretty much stole his mobility. Through all of this he always kept a positive attitude. He took everything in stride and even had multiple jokes to lighten any mood. Rest assured he is indubitably now running and singing oldies in his perfect body with no more aches and pains.
His favorite things in life were his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews including his adopted nephew Halton Flowers, and of course his sisters. He was also known as quite the mama’s boy. We are pretty sure if not for Curt, the Coke company and Hershey’s would be defunct by now.
He is survived by his daughters, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 sisters and several nieces and a nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his sister Judith Ann, one nephew and Phyllis.
Though the German in him could sometimes rear its stubborn head this kind humorous sole will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
