David Gene Sholes

David Gene Sholesborn in Monroe Michigan on January 20, 1940 is the youngest child of Bernice and Walter Shipman. He was preceded in death by his mother-Bernice, Father-Walter, BrotherJimmy and three SistersWanda, Marjorie and Jesse.

Dave has four children Jodi LeeAnn Apel, Charles David Sholes, Daniel Eugene Sholes and Tammy Lee Sholes. He has one grandson from Jodi & Mike, Chris Lee Wilson & Crystal Wilson, and their 4 kids Michael, Christopher, Faith and Malachi. He has one grandson from Jodi & Darryl, Derek James Apel & McKenzie Apel and their 3 kids Whitney, Karter and Xander. Chuck gave him 5 beautiful kids Tracy & Scott and their 2 kids Madison and Mason. Troy has 2 kids, Regan Elizabeth and Harper Devin, Jr & Heidi Sholes, and their 3 kids Char, Corvin and Cyron, Ashley & Kyle Avondet have 2 kids Kylie and Kyler, Levi has 2 kids Ashlyn and Brooklyn. Daniel gave him two wonderful grandsons Daniel David Sholes and Louis Michael Mikey. Tammy & Dan Hill gave him 3 fabulous sons, Cody has 3 kids Jace, Brooklyn and Paisley, Terrence & Nicole Hill have 4 children Payton, Kylle, Taylyn and Jack. Austin Hill with no kids.

Dad loved his kids and grandkids and was very proud of the fact that he had 27 great grandkids. He loved family gatherings and having all the family together at one time was one of his favorite things whether it was a BBQ, Thanksgiving or one of the kids’ birthdays he always made it to the family gatherings. He has made so many wonderful memories with all of us and we shall all carry on his legacy and pass it down for years to come. Rest in peace Dad until we see you again we will miss you.

Services will be at 1:00 pm Wed. December 13, 2017 at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. A viewing will be held Tues. December 12, 2017 from 6-7:30 pm and also 1 hour prior to services on Wed. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens with Military Rites provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.
