Erica "Liz" Bristol

Erica Lizbeth “Liz” Bristol, 45, passed away on November 24, 2025, in Pocatello, Idaho—the city where she was born, raised, and deeply rooted. Her vibrant spirit and unmistakable presence left an indelible mark on all who knew and loved her.

Born on December 12, 1979, Liz began her education at Franklin Middle School and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1998. With a natural flair for style and self-expression, she pursued her passion for beauty at Austin Kade Academy, where she earned her cosmetology certificate. Her love for fashion was more than a profession—it was an extension of her creativity, confidence, and joyful spirit.

Liz was known for her radiant smile, infectious laugh, and unmistakable sense of style. She loved getting dolled up—nails, makeup, jewelry, and clothes were her art form. Any excuse to shop or dress up was one she gladly embraced, and her bold personality shone through in everything she wore.

Beyond her passion for beauty, Liz cherished time spent traveling, camping, and boating. These adventures allowed her to make treasured memories with the people she loved most. Her love for music filled countless moments with laughter, dancing, and connection. She had a gift for making others smile with her humor, warmth, and generous heart. Those who knew her will remember not just how she looked, but how she made them feel—seen, loved, and uplifted.

Liz leaves behind the love of her life, Matthew Kennedy; her beloved sons Trysten and Trevor Bristol; and her stepchildren Maddi, Justa, Sam, and Justin Kennedy. She is also survived by her grandfather William Gericke; her mother Robin Gericke; her sister Keli Mahaffey; and her nieces and nephews Maci, Landon, and Taylor. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into every moment shared with them.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Rosemary Gericke; her great-aunt Charlene Gericke; and her great-grandmother Reba Gericke—women whose strength and love helped shape the remarkable woman Liz became.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers, hospice nurses, family members, and friends who offered such compassionate care and support. Your kindness brought comfort when it was needed most.

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at the Valentine Ballroom, 100 S. Arthur St., Pocatello, Idaho from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
