Ethel VanOrden Clark

Ethel VanOrden Clark 89, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away Monday, September 2, 2013, surrounded by her loving husband and family.

Ethel was born to Artie and Edith VanOrden and raised in Thomas Idaho. In 1944 she married Robert L. Clark and they began a life of travel with the US Army to Germany, Japan, California, Texas and New York. When Bob retired they continued traveling the world with their children and grandchildren.

She had many talents including sewing, reading, entertaining, serving others and making friends around the world. Ethel also enjoyed telling stories about adventures with her identical twin sister, Edith.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, 5 children Sandy Todd (Larry), Kaye Clark, Jean Wood (Greg), Gary Clark (Janel), Sherri Olsen (Steve), 22 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, and a brother.

Funeral services for Ethel will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Princeton Ward LDS Chapel. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at the Princeton LDS Ward, 42 Princeton Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho, and Saturday, September 7, 2013, one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow services on Saturday at the Mountain View Cemetery.
