Gaylord William Hudson, born June 9th, 1930 in Cottonwood, Arizona; Son of William H. Hudson and Arlene Ricks Hudson.

After following his father's path, Gaylord started in construction before he graduated from Pocatello High School in 1949.

After an agreement with a good friend, he enlisted in the National Guard in 1947. He then joined the Navy from 1950 to 1954, and returned back to the Guard. While in the National Guard he met countless, lifelong friends and took his first of many plane rides and train rides. He reached the ranking of 1st Sargent and after retiring in 1979, he was very proud of his service in the National Guard.

While on his first Navy leave, he met his beloved sweetheart, LaVaun Boren. They married in San Francisco that year, settled back in Pocatello and raised three beautiful children; Robert, Gayleen, and Ronald. Gaylord continued his career in construction where he grew to love his work and obtained many talents. He became very passionate and gifted working with bridges and overpasses. "You can't go any direction and not pass some of my structures"

Gaylord lived an adventurous life that only many of us can dream of. He embraced it to the fullest, laughed as much as possible, and shared a love for everyone including the LDS faith, ISU Sports and his passion for riding motorcycles.

He is survived by his brother Gordon, his children Robert and Gayleen, and his grandchildren Justin, Brandon, Holly, Amanda, Darcy, and Shayla. He is followed in death by his parents, sister, wife, and son.

The viewing will be held Thursday, Dec. 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave.and on Friday one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec.18th at 11:00 am at the 5th Ward LDS Church at 1440 Lake View Drive.
