Genevieve Beatrice Maciel

“Genie” was born and raised amongst a large Silva family in San Jose California. She graduated from Campbell High School. She married her childhood friend George John Maciel (who proceeded her in death, July of 2013 along with her devoted son Anthony (Tony) in April of 2013. The surviving children are John and Susan. Genie has many Grandchildren, Jason (Heidi), Christa (Adrian), T.J. Rieka (JB), Becca and Rick. Her Great Grandchildren are Jada, Ethan, Kai, Enzo, Skylar, Amanda and Justin. Great Great Grandchildren are Nylaya, Ari, Stevie, and Oliver. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Barnes and nephew Joe Barnes. 

Genie had a witty sense of humor and could tell a good joke. She worked many years at Peter’s Bakery as a cake decorator, where she met some long-lasting friends. Her great hobby of collecting cactus and usual plants which she shared with anyone who was interested in having a plant or two. She loved traveling. Together Genie and George made many trips abroad as well as trips covering parts of North America. 

She had a passion for painting and loved to crochet.
