Jack Bishard

Jack Bishard, 79, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013 at his home in Pocatello, Idaho.

He was born July 7, 1934, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Fred Bishard and Effie Clarice Thacker Bishard.

He attended elementary schools in Robin, Idaho and attended Arimo High School. He was the first one in the Robin area to have a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

He married Wanda Shumway on October 4, 1954 In Elko, Nevada. They have lived in Pocatello for 58 years. He loved deer hunting, goose hunting, fishing, water skiing and all sports. He loved fast cars and fast boats.

Jack is survived by his wife, Wanda, Pocatello, Idaho; a son, Brent (Gail) Jack Bishard, Pocatello, Idaho; a daughter, Janice Bishard (David) Shipman, San Diego, California; 3 grandchildren, Tony (Shannon) Line, Lori Bishard, Charlie Wass; 3 great grandchildren, Madison Line, Kutter Line, Konner Metelski; and his little dog Elsie. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Mountainview Cemetery (Section 51 West) with John Alexander officiating. The family will meet with friends on Saturday from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. prior to graveside services. Immediately following the graveside refreshments will be served at an open house at the home of Brent and Gail Bishard (2001 Dana St. Pocatello, Idaho).
