Jack Lewis Rawson, 65, of Chubbuck, passed away Saturday evening July 27, 2013 at his home following an extended illness.

He was born July 6, 1948 in Twin Falls, Idaho, a son of Francis S. and Viola M. Halls Rawson.

He attended schools in Twin Falls and graduated from Twin Falls High School. He went on to attend College of Southern Idaho (CSI) in Twin Falls, where he received his nursing degree. On December 10, 1992, he married Kathleen "Kathy" Bergstrom in Pocatello.

He worked as a surgical nurse at the Bannock Memorial Hospital for four years. He then decided to venture into something else and started driving truck for various contruction companies in the area as well as on jobs at the INL site. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 983 and also worked as a warehouseman.

He loved hunting, fishing and traveling to Alaska to fish. He enjoyed spoiling his niece, Cierra. as she was always the biggest bright spot in his life. He also loved fishing on Henry's Lake. He was always so proud of his son Mike. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathy M. Rawson, Chubbuck, Idaho; son, Mike Goodman, Chubbuck, Idaho; a sister, Carol (Merrill) Bertoch, Roosevelt, Utah; father and mother in-law, Gene and Joyce Bergstrom, Pocatello, Idaho; numerous brother and sister in-laws, neices and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Danielle M. Rawson, four brothers and three sisters.

Jack's family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Idaho Home Health and Hospice for their tender and loving care of our husband, father, brother and son in-law.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapal, 510 N. 12th Ave. with Amy Gantt-Lamb officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Mountainview Cemetery with military graveside rites provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
