Pocatello - Jerry Paul Zaccardi, 69, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at a local rehabilitation center after a long battle with MS and COPD.

Jerry was born February 28, 1943 to Carmie and Faedina Zaccardi. Jerry was raised with his twin brother Larry (Debbie) Zaccardi, and 2 sisters, Jeannie (Stan) Sorensen and Irene Brinkman.

Jerry attended school in Pocatello, graduating from Pocatello High School in 1961.

Jerry worked a various jobs during his career including Union Pacific Railroad in the car department as a painter. Jerry had a lifelong love of cars, eventually opening his own shop "Jerry's Body Repair', and continued to work at various auto repair jobs until he became physically unable to work. Jerry was "The Guy" to call whenever anything needed fixing. He was always happy to lend a hand when needed, and enjoyed helping out. He was loved by everyone who knew him.

Jerry married Sherlene Roberts in 1964 and they later divorced. Together they had three children, Jerry (Rhonda) Fisher, of Pocatello; Angela Jones of Madill, Oklahoma; Wendy (Kelly) Christensen of Pocatello. Jerry's family would grow to include Peggy's children, Wendy (Alan) Hoagland; Jody Williams.

Jerry would remain close throughout his life with his siblings, and considered them to be his best friends and companions. Jerry spent the happiest years with his sweetheart Peggy. Together they enjoyed many summers at the "dike" on the Blackfoot Reservoir near Soda Springs, gardening, riding 4 wheelers, boating, fishing and just enjoying the great outdoors.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, both sisters and a nephew, Jeremy Zaccardi. He is survived by Peggy, his brother Larry, his 3 children, 11 grandchildren, Breanna (Shannon), Kayla, Stefan, Mitchell (Leasha), Stephanie, Kory, Jordon, Erik, Casey, Kimberly, Madison and 4 great-grandsons, Braxton, Boston, Sawyer and Benson.

As per Jerry's wishes no funeral services will be held. The family will hold a private memorial services at a future date. Arrangements are under the direction of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave..
