Karen Marie Hunt, born to Vernon and Melva Hunt on September 6, 1956, was a lifelong resident of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away peacefully in God’s hands on May 30, 2025, at the age of 68.
Karen attended Pocatello High School and later worked at McDonald’s, where she retired as a dedicated prepper. Known for her kind heart and being a social butterfly, Karen lived a life centered around family, faith, and simple joys.
She loved spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and listening to her favorite country music. Some of her fondest memories were made at Lava Hot Springs at the family’s favorite fishing hole. She enjoyed watching movies and cherished visits to the Ross Park Drive-In, where she always looked forward to the taco spaghetti and raspberry iced tea.
Karen is survived by her loving sister Peggy (Hunt) Tegge, brother Richard Hunt, sister-in-law Sandy Hunt, her children Brian Elliott Walters, Douglas Lowell Walters, Carrie Marie (Walters) Leedgaard, Michael Lionel Marler, and Heather Jean Marler, as well as many beloved grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for those around her.
In memory of Karen, the family asks that you spend time with your loved ones and enjoy the simple moments—just as Karen would have wanted.
