Kenneth Virgil Curzon, age 88, passed away on April 19, 2024, peacefully at his home. Kenny was born the youngest child to George Stuart Curzon and Mary Alma Andrews on September 28, 1935. Kenny was raised and lived in Pocatello his entire life, except for four years when he served in the U.S. Air Force as a military air policeman in Albuquerque, N.M.
After his return to Pocatello, Kenny became a member of the Operating Engineers Local 370-A as a heavy equipment crane operator for 35 years. Kenny’s skilled legacy will live on in southeast Idaho in the many construction projects he helped build.
While Kenny was in the military he married Norma Jean Draper, whom he had been married to for 68 years. They had 6 children, 18 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren. Kenny loved spending time with and having fun with his family. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and participating in sports with his children. Kenny loved supporting each of his family members with their activities. This was made evident by his appearance at each activity.
Kenny loved to play softball and was a softball pitcher in the military. He also pitched for church ball, and city league. He spent most of his summer evenings at the NOP softball complex, enjoying the players and harassing the umpires. Kenny loved bowling at Tough Guy Lanes and continued to bowl twice a week until shortly before his passing. Ken had many life lessons to share, and his family loved to sit around and listen to him.
Kenny served in many capacities in his local ward and stake for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He had a great love for his savior, Jesus Christ.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings: Lois, Calvin, and an infant brother.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Norma Draper. He is also survived by his children: Michael, Sandra Jensen (Kirk), Chrisine O’Harra, Douglas, Kenneth Paul, and Jonathan (Amy),18 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
