Kenneth Bart Harrison

Kenneth B. Harrison 74, of Pocatello passed away April 9, 2014 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 31, 1939 in Soda Springs Idaho, a son of Bartholomew and Mary Leda Whitehead Harrison.
He attended schools in Lava Hot Springs Idaho and graduated from Marsh Valley High School. His formative years were spent in Dempsey Creek on the Harrison Farm.
On November 24, 1961, he married Marjean Lillian Hirschi in Thatcher Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Utah L.D.S. Temple November 24, 1971. Ken and her lived in Boise for 5 years and moved to Pocatello where they lived since 1974. He worked construction in the Intermountain west until 1984. He worked for School District 25 for 18 years retiring in 2002.
He was active in the L.D.S Church having served as Home Teacher, Sunday School Secretary and various other callings throughout the years.
He enjoyed hunting and the Lava Hot Pools in his youth. Ken was always supportive of his family and friends throughout the years. He was selfless in giving of his time and help to all who knew him.
Survivors include: 2 sons, Kenneth Brett (Tammy) Harrison, Colleyville Texas: Daniel Bart (Twyla) Harrison, Pocatello, Idaho; 3 Daughters, Pamela Kaye Harrison, Pocatello; Melanie Dawn Harrison, Pocatello; Cheryl Ann Harrison Pocatello; 9 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjean Lillian Hirschi Harrison, Mother, Mary Leda Whitehead Harrison, Father Bartholomew Harrison, 3 brothers.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Highland 7th Ward Chapel (2000 S. Fairway Dr.)
The family will receive friends on Sunday April 13, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. and Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
