Pocatello - Kleta Miller, 89, longtime resident of Pocatello, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at a local care center.

She was born May 6, 1924, in Blackfoot, Idaho, a daughter of John G. and Nora LaVere Olson Andersen.

She attended schools in Blackfoot and graduated from Blackfoot High School.

She married Jack L. Miller September 6, 1959 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple.

Kleta worked as a secretary for several years at Tyhee Elementary School.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had been active in many church activities including, Relief Society, Young Womens, Primary, ward pianist and organist for 26 years. She and Jack served as ordinance workers in the Idaho Falls Temple for 2 years. They also served as missionaries in the Columbus, Ohio Mission for 18 months.

She enjoyed playing golf, square dancing and painting. She will be greatly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Jack L. Miller, Pocatello, Idaho; a son, Keith (Julia) Palmer, Pocatello, Idaho; 3 daughters, Carol Ann Miller, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Marilyn Andrus, Twin Falls, Idaho; Linda K. (Todd) Nelson, Pocatello, Idaho; 2 sisters, LaRue Andersen Price, Vista, California; Evelyn Andersen Willmore, Chubbuck, Idaho; a sister in-law, Betty Andersen, West Palm Beach, Florida; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, 1 sister, and 1 grandson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bringhurst L.D.S. Ward Chapel (140 Bringhurst) with Bishop John Smedley, officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave and on Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
