Leah Rose Misner Curtis

Leah Rose Misner Curtis passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025.

Leah was born on July 2, 1948 to George and Kady Misner.

Leah grew up in Pocatello, Idaho. She was a proud graduate of Pocatello High School Class of 1966. Mom would always yell, “Yay Poky!” When she watched the ISU Homecoming Parade.

It was while working at Lamb Weston that she met Gary Curtis. They were married for 57 years in July. With their blessed union, they had two children, Michelle and Brian.

Leah enjoyed taking care of her yard. Mom always had a green thumb. She even showed her favorite neighbor, Joe Lew, how to keep up his yard up too. She really liked giving Joe a hard time.

But mom’s favorite part of life was being a grandma. She was the best grandma Gary anyone could ask for, especially Kimberly and Danielle. She loved to spoil her two granddaughters’ anyway she could.

But the best part of mom’s life was when she became a great grandma to three beautiful grand babies, Dawn Roselee, Abel Reed, and Henry William. Mom will always be known to them as GiGi.

Leah is survived by her husband Gary; her daughter, Michelle (Bill) Reier; her son, Brian Curits; her granddaughters, Kimberly (Robert) Ramos and Danielle (Hank) Steinmetz; and three great-grand babies, Dawn Roselee, Abel Ramos, and Henry Steinmetz.

A Celebration of Life will be held next summer. Details of the service will be posted when available.
