Linda Kaye Tracy

Linda Kaye Tracy, 80, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2024 at Quinn Meadows care center in Pocatello, ID.

Linda was born on February 22, 1944 in Ogden, UT to Parley and Phyllis Davis. She spent her childhood in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1962. She was wed to Bob Tracy in 1967 and they were married for 26 years. Together they had 2 children, Mike and Erika.

Linda loved being a mom! She was so proud and supportive of all her children’s endeavors. She kept busy shuttling her kids to and from the various activities they participated in. Whether it was watching her son play football or rodeo or her daughter dance. She had a passion for her kids that everyone could feel. She was a second mom to many of their friends and welcomed them all into her home. She volunteered at their elementary school whenever she could and was the PTO President. She also served as the Primary President for her church in Harrisville for many years.

In 1985 the family moved from Ogden, UT to McCammon, ID. Here she took a job at Mt. View Elementary School as a Teacher’s Aide in the Special Education department. She found this work very rewarding, and she loved her time there. She made many special and lifelong friendships.

In 1993 she returned to Ogden, UT to be near her friends. She worked an array of jobs at this time ranging from the Manager of the Winegar’s Deli to a Teacher’s Aide. She enjoyed spending time with her friends whether it be getting together for lunches, or just having a Coke and visiting. Around 2007 she returned to Pocatello to be closer to her kids and her first granddaughter, Ella. Linda adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She attended many dance performances, basketball and football games, and more cheering them on. She loved to have sleepovers with them where they would have tea parties, watch movies and eat pizza.

While back in Pocatello, she worked at Fred Meyer in the Deli. She worked hard and made many wonderful friendships at Fred Meyer. She eventually retired and enjoyed spending her time going to movies and dinner with her friends, taking water aerobics classes, and most of all being with her family.

Linda was passionate about getting her hair and nails done. She took such pride in her nails and was dedicated to keeping them beautiful. Everywhere we went she received compliments on her nails! Linda was preceded in death by her parents Parley Davis and Phyllis Tonks Davis, as well as both her brothers, Jack Davis and Gary Davis. She is survived by her son Mike Tracy (Sarah). Soda Springs, ID, her daughter Erika Henricksen (Chris), Pocatello, ID, three grandchildren, Ella Marie Henricksen, River Raymond Henricksen and Jenna Cheyenne Devine, and one great-grandchild, McKinely Mae Devine as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Quinn Meadows who made our mom feel safe, comfortable and above all very loved in her final few months. Also, a special thanks to Heritage Home Health & Hospice for all you have done for our family in the last several days.
