Lois Capell Hall was born 28 October 1929 in Robin, Idaho. She died December 22, 2018, she is the last of her immediate family, she is also the last of her husband’s immediate family. Lois was the youngest of ten children of Edward Seth Capell and Eliza Cordila Gunter. She lived and worked on the family farm in Hawkins Basin until her junior year of high school when she moved to Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1947. While in high school she worked at Hoppers Dairy restaurant on Main Street in Pocatello.
Lois met Vernon Hall and they were married August 18, 1947. In 1966 they were sealed as a family in the Idaho Falls Temple. They have four children. In the 50 plus years she and Vernon lived together they spent most of those years living in the little house on the corner of Wayne and Alameda Road.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she held many callings and help with many actives. She was also a member of the Sage Junction Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Lois was a skilled and talented person. She worked many years as a tailor/seamstress, working at the original Blocks, ID Store, Fargos, and Mr. Mac. She later began working from her home and many clothing stores would bring the items needing altered to her. She also made clothing for other people. She made most of the clothes her children wore when they were younger, than she made clothes for her grandchildren. She had beautiful flowers and a large garden and an orchard she cared for. She would can and preserve almost everything she grew to help feed her family during the winter.
For many years Lois sold Avon. She later took photography classes and enjoyed taking pictures. She was also a fan of fabric painting, reading, putting puzzles together, gardening and go to family reunions.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Hall, her son Dennis Hall, her parents and all of her ten siblings and their spouses. She is survived by her daughters and spouses Linda & Lynn Hunsaker and Peggy and Gary Johnson, son and spouse Rodney and Mary Hall and daughter-in -law Judy Hall, Her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be Friday December 28, 2018 at the Highland 7th Ward building, 2000 South Fairway Drive. A viewing will be held one hour before services at 10:00 am with services at 11:00 am. Internment at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery following services.
