Lynda Louise Lawrence, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, in Lakewood, Washington, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 18, 1949, in Tacoma, Washington, marking the beginning of a life defined by kindness, creativity, and devotion to those she held dear.

A proud graduate of Haywood Highschool, Lynda’s early years were marked by a thirst for knowledge and a keen enthusiasm for life, qualities that defined her journey through adulthood. Her professional endeavors led her to roles as a title examiner and as a computer chip inspector for Intel—fields that benefited from her meticulous attention to detail and her unwavering work ethic.

Lynda found joy in an array of hobbies and interests that colored her life and the lives of those around her. She possessed a love for dancing, a skillful hand in crafting, quilting, sewing, and painting, as well as an eye for decorating and a passion for traveling. Card games brought laughter to countless family gatherings, and her fascination with genealogy reflected her keen interest in the stories and connections that shape our lives. Lynda was known among friends and family as an excellent cook and baker, whose kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of homemade meals and treats. She loved making memories with her family and spending time with them.

Gifted with a gentle and loving soul, Lynda had a remarkable ability to make every occasion special. Her warmth and kindness were constants in the lives of those she touched, and she leaves behind memories of a woman who cherished her loved ones deeply. Among her proudest personal achievements, Lynda learned to mime and took college courses to learn Italian before visiting Italy, a testament to her adventurous spirit and commitment to experiencing life fully.

Lynda’s legacy lives on through her devoted family. She is survived by her husband Bill Lawrence; daughter Jennifer Justus; son Jeff (Stephanie) Justus; daughter Hailey (Jon) Lawrence-Watt; son Josh (Y) Justus; 9 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Gary (Peter) Ewer, brother Mark Ewer and a sister Cathy (Rick) Norberg. Each of them carries forward her lessons of sweetness, strength, and generosity. Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Shirley Ewer, whose memory she honored throughout her life.

A viewing will be held from 6-7pm at the LDS Stake Center (10018 Farwest Dr SW, Lakewood, WA) on Monday July 6, 2026.  Funeral Service will follow right after the viewing at 7pm.  Graveside service will be held the next day Tuesday July 7, 2026 in the Tahoma National Cemetery at 10:30am.
