Maggie Vance Wheatley

Our dear mother, grandmother and wife left this world Sunday April 17th, 2016. She is free from suffering and is now in the arms of our Lord, enjoying a marvelous reunion with loved ones.
Maggie was born to Mary Alice and Sylvester Vance on February 9, 1923 in Beaver Kentucky. She graduated from Betsy Layne High School in Floyd County Kentucky. She was a school teacher during WWII and worked in Detroit Michigan Defense Plant.
Maggie married Emmett Triplett and had one child Caroleen Triplett and two grandchildren Tyler and Mary. Later they divorced. Maggie moved from Kentucky to Idaho with her sister and brother-in-law Earnest and Myrtle Frasure. While working in Myrtles Café she met the love of her life Verl Wheatley and they married on Nov 2, 1946 . They had one child, Priscilla.
Maggie is survived by her daughter, Priscilla Wheatley and two grandchildren Kody and Kory Wheatley and two daughter-in laws Kathy and Rachelle Wheatley and four great grandchildren Dallyce, Grace, Kristina, and Vance Wheatley.
She is survived in death by her loving husband Verl Wheatley.
She is proceeding in death by her parents, sisters, and brothers: Maudie and May Hall, Myrtle Frasure, Lena Sammons, Arthur, Earnest, and Noah Vance.
She was a devoted mom, grandmother, and wife. Her heart’s desire was to always serve the Lord. There are many found memories of what a fantastic cook she was and all of her Thanksgiving dinners.
We would like to send a special thanks to Dr. Wise, Mykala, and all the nurses and aides at Alliance Home Health Hospice for all of their wonderful care and support.
The viewing will be at 11:00 am to 11:45 am at Manning- Wheatley Funeral Home, 510 N. 12th Ave. followed by graveside services at Restlawn Memorial Gardens at 12:00 Noon.
