Mary Martha Ruiz

Mary Martha Ruiz (m. Martinez) passed away May 12, 2025.She was preceded in death by her parents Emilio Martinez and Filipita Maxwell, her brother Henry Martinez and her son EIthadore Jr.She is survived by her ex-husband EIthadore, brothers Francis (Barbara) and Gerald (Virginia) and her children: Michael, Ron, Sonya (Dave), Stephanie and Eric. She is also survived by her grandchildren Tahnee, Antonio, Gabriel, Elijah, Jonathan, Carlos, Summer, Selena, Angelina, Alejandro, Liliana, and Vanessa as well as multiple extended family members and in-laws and nieces and nephews.

Martha enjoyed dancing and cooking and prided herself on a strong work ethic. Her restaurant was a pillar of the Rose Park neighborhood in Salt Lake City, where her authentic New Mexico style cooking drew fanfare from local celebrities, government officials, and the general public. Her delicious food and welcoming smile made “El Prado” restaurant the place to be. 

Her family will be having a private ceremony and are grateful for your prayers.
