Michael "Bubba" Ryan Frank Smith

Pocatello- Michael Ryan Frank "Bubba" Smith, 24, of Pocatello and Boise, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Portneuf Medical Center.

He was born October 26, 1988 in Pocatello, Idaho, a son of Kenneth Shawn and Diana Lynn Waters Smith.

He attended schools in Boise including Centennial High School. He was currently living in Pocatello and attending Idaho State University pursing a degree in Sociology.

He enjoyed snow skiing, wake boarding, skate boarding, snow boarding, and water skiing. He enjoyed playing the guitar. He sang and wrote music. He liked camping and being outdoors.. He was very outgoing and loved being around his family and friends. Those who knew him have always said, "he has a great heart." He will be greatly missed by all who know him.

Michael "Bubba" is survived by his father, Shawn Smith, Boise, Idaho; three brothers, Logan Smith, Boise, Idaho; Madison Smith, Boise, Idaho; Demetrius French, Nampa, Idaho; grandparents, Marjean Smith, Pocatello, Idaho; Vickie Brunson Pocatello, Idaho; Jerry and Sharon Waters, Pocatello, Idaho; great grandfather, Frank Brunson, Pocatello, Idaho; two uncles, Michael Waters, Mt. Home, Idaho; Jesse Smith, Pocatello, Idaho; great uncle, Gene Smith, Pocatello, Idaho; numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Diana Smith; grandfather, Kenneth Smith, great grandmother, LaRue Brunson, great grandparents, Golden & Susan Smith.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 at 12 noon at the Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., with Pastor Michael R. Powell of the University Bible Church officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel and on Friday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery, Rexburg, Idaho at 3:30 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
