Norma Rosa Peterson Adams (1920 - 2011).

Our precious wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Norma Adams, peacefully left this earth on December 16, 2011. She was born on February 8, 1920 in Thatcher Idaho to Christian and Hansina Peterson. She grew up in Grace, Idaho, but also lived in Blackfoot and Pocatello. She was the valedictorian of her school class.

She married Virgil I. Adams on April 22, 1939. They were married for 72A½ wonderful years. Norma was a member of the LDS Church and taught Primary during her earlier years. Norma valued her family above all else and was devoted to her four children and Virgil. She excelled in all aspects of homemaking.

Virgil and Norma had four children - Eva (Sidney) Noles (Brigham City, Utah), Dr. Dean (Joyce) Adams (Reno Nevada), Nancy (Ben) Davis (North Salt Lake), and Linda (Carey) Burnside (Wet Jordan, Utah). Norma proudly leaves behind her husband, Virgil, 4 children, 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, 2 brothers, Virgil's parents and his siblings. She is also survived by 1 brother Grant (Rebecca) Peterson (Layton, Utah).

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 21st at the Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 512 North 12th Ave. in Pocatello, at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Michael Morrissey officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment will be at the Grace, Idaho, Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Home.
