Phyllis Marie Michaelson

Phyllis Marie Thornock Michaelson was born on July 6, 1947, in Montpelier, Idaho, to Newell Bruce and Florence Thornock.  She was raised in Bloomington, where she lived until her marriage to Randell Michaelson.  They were married on February 14, 1969, in the Idaho Falls Temple.  Through their temple marriage, they were sealed for time and all eternity.  Phyllis and Randell shared 56 wonderful years together on this earth.

After living six months in Salt Lake City, they returned to St. Charles and lived there for three years before moving to Inkom, Idaho, where Phyllis lovingly raised their family of seven children.  Family was the center of her life.  Once her children were mostly grown, she worked for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for several years, later continuing her career at Citizens Community Bank.  She eventually retired to spend more time doing what she loved most - being with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were truly her pride and joy.

Phyllis was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Her testimony guided her life, and she found great peace and purpose in her faith, her family, and her service to others.

On December 19, 2025, Phyllis passed away peacefully in her home.  She is survived by her beloved husband, Randell Michaelson; her children, Jane, LeAnna, Kendall, Terry, Misty, Wade, and Kaylena; her brother, Ray; her sisters, Marlene, Charmaine, and Arlette; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her brothers Calvin and Ivan, and her parents Newell and Florence.
