Richard C. McDaniel

Richard C. McDaniel, 71, passed away on Oct. 1, 2015, after 2 years of declining health. Richard was born in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from North Georgia College and received a Masters Degree from the University of Georgia.

He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army and was assigned to Germany, where he met the love of his life, Edda Bell, and then Vietnam. He left the Army to become an FBI agent and Edda and Richard married in June 1971, after his graduation from the FBI Academy.

After a brief assignment in L.A., Richard was reassigned to Pocatello and fell in love with the area, asking never to be reassigned again. He retired after 28 years in the FBI to pursue his favorite hobbies, golfing, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Edda B. McDaniel, his Father and Step Mother James L. McDaniel and Melva from Missouri., his sister-in-law and brotherin-law Bill and Astrid Ross from North Carolina., several nieces and nephews and his best friend Dave McAteer and other hunting and fishing buddies.
