Robert Dustin Hale

POCATELLO- Robert Dustin Hale, "Dusty" to everyone who knew him, passed peacefully Friday, December 9, 2011 at Portneuf Medical Center.

He was born September 8, 1955 to Robert "Bob" Hale and Pril Chandler Hale. He was raised in Pocatello with his 5 siblings Mona Hale, Victor (Shauna) Hale, Kristi (Craig) Gould, Cindy (Steve) Avery, and Brent (Bobby) Hale, he graduated from Highland High School in 1974.

Growing up he enjoyed fishing, exploring, searching for rocks and raising hell.

Soon after graduating he married Sandra Curzon and together they had 5 children Dustin, Amy, Robert, Sam, and David. They raised their family on Jensen St. where he was not only a dad to his own children but also many neighborhood kids. He was coach to all five of his own kids and many others in the sports baseball, basketball, wrestling and softball. Throughout his life he always had a love for the outdoors. He hunted and fished from when he was very young and took his last fishing trip just a few months ago.

He worked at FMC from 1980 until the plant closed. In the last seven years his life was fulfilled with his two grandchildren Hailey and Treyton. He loved to go fishing with them, take trips to Petco, teach them to play baseball, and supported all their activities.

He was a kind and patient man who gave his life to his children, and was a best friend to all he met. He will be remembered as an amazing son, brother, dad, papa, friend and coach. He will be missed dearly and loved forever.

He was preceded in death by Robert "Bob" Hale, Bob Farley, Nerissa Cross, Sam Sanchez, Buck Hale, Ed Hale, Everet Prescott and many more uncles and aunts.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar 4th Ward L.D.S.Chapel (550 W. Cedar) with Bishop Dale Diller of the Cedar 4th Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Inkom Cemetery, Inkom, Idaho.

Funeral services are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
