Robert Thomas Jones

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Robert Thomas Jones, lovingly known to many as Bob, who left us on June 23, 2026, in Boise, Idaho, at the age of 70. Born on January 19, 1956, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Robert’s journey came full circle in the state he loved, surrounded by the legacy of family and fond recollections that defined his remarkable life.

Throughout his years, Robert embodied the spirit of devotion, warmth, and steadfastness. He grew up in a home graced by the guidance and affection of his parents, Burton and Velma Jones, whose memories he carried with him always. Later, he found partnership and love in his wife, Cindy, with whom he built a life full of togetherness until her passing.

Robert is survived by a loving family, each of whom was a source of deep pride and unending joy to him. His son, Christopher (Veronica), and his daughter, Samantha, were the light of his life and the foundation on which he built so many treasured memories. The family circle extended to his brothers, Mike Jones and Ken Jones, who remained constant companions through childhood and adulthood alike.

His legacy continues through a generation of grandchildren: Brooklynn, Aryan, Tila, Hayden, Destiny, Gloriana, Danion, Gabriella, Felonie, Izabella, Esperanza, Emma, and Javi. Each one carries with them a piece of his influence—a guiding hand, a gentle word, the wisdom of a loving grandfather. Especially dear was his great-granddaughter, Ellie, in whom he saw the promise of his family’s enduring story.

Robert, or Bob, as he was warmly called, lived his life dedicated to his loved ones. His greatest accomplishment—one he took infinite pride in—was being a father and a role model to his children and grandchildren. Family time was his most treasured, and he found immense joy in building memories and nurturing bonds that will remain as lasting testaments to his spirit.

Robert’s career spanned respected companies, including Ballard Medical and Associated Foods, where he was known for his work ethic and kindness. Earlier in his life, he honorably served in the National Guard, demonstrating the same sense of service and responsibility that marked every facet of his being.

A true lover of the outdoors, Robert’s happiest days were often those spent camping, fishing, hunting, and exploring nature. Whether by a quiet stream or under a starlit sky, he found contentment in the simple beauty of the world around him, frequently sharing these passions with his family.

Those fortunate enough to know Robert will long remember his happy, outgoing nature. He faced every challenge with a remarkable will to live, manifesting a strength that was as steadfast as it was gentle. Above all, Robert was caring, kind, and gentle to all—qualities reflected in the lives he touched and the love he inspired.

Now reunited with his parents, Burton and Velma, and his beloved wife Cindy, Robert leaves behind a family who will cherish his memory and uphold his legacy of kindness, resilience, and unwavering love.

While words cannot lessen the sorrow of his departure, they can remind us of all that he gave, all that he was, and all that endures in those who loved him most.
