Robert Schou

Pocatello - Robert Leslie Schou, 80, lifelong resident of Pocatello, passed away Sunday evening May 30, 2010 at a local medical center following emergency surgery.

He was born March 21, 1930 in Pocatello, Idaho, a son of Leon Richard Schou Sr. and Leola Maxine McKane Schou. He attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. He also attended Idaho State University for several semesters. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a brakeman. After retiring from the railroad, he worked for several summers at a hotel in West Yellowstone, Montana. He very much enjoyed duck and goose hunting and other upland game birds. He also liked collecting antique and classic cars. His favorite hobby was working on mathematic problems.

He is survived by a brother, L. R. (Irene) Schou, Sidney, B.C. Canada; a sister, Beverly Best, Portland, Oregon; He was preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. At Roberts request, no services will be held.
