Roberta Dunn

Roberta (Berts) Valoy Dunn, 82, of McCammon, returned home to her Heavenly Father on the early morning of November 11, 2015. Berts mother, Henrietta Rosdahl Lake, gave birth to her on August 13, 1933 in Downey, Idaho, 19 days after the death of her father, James Robert Lake.

She married Loren Henry Dunn June 15, 1951 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They made their home, raising their five boys, in McCammon.

Berts worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Bannock County Driver's License Department for 22 years, 19 years as supervisor and retired in 1993. She also joyfully worked in her church as ward and stake librarian for several years, a calling she loved.

Loren and Roberta served faithfully as temple workers at the Idaho Falls Temple from 1993 to 2007 and really looked forward to these Friday night trips together. She was a kind, loving, & cheerful mother, grandmother, wife, sister, daughter and friends who always had a smile on her face and she will be deeply missed by all.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Loren, of 64 years, her brother, David Lake of Utah, her four sons, Kyle (Marlean), Curtis (JoDeana), Mitchell, Darren (Karalee), daughter-in-law Marsha, 16 grandchildren , 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandsons. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, 8 siblings, her eldest son Mike and granddaughter Mandy.

We would like to give a special thanks to The Gables Assisted Living Center for compassionately taking care of our Berts for the past couple years.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 16, 2015 at 12 Noon at the McCammon LDS Stake Center. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Stake Center and on Monday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Norton Cemetery.
