Pocatello-Ronald William Regan, 70, passed away peacefully at his home in Pocatello, Saturday, December 8, 2012.

Ron was born March 4, 1942 in Pocatello, Idaho to William E. and Faye Regan.

He attended schools in Pocatello and in 1960 enlisted in the US Navy where he served 22 years discharging as Boatswain Mate, Pet ty Office First Class-BM1. Following his military career, Ron called Post Falls, Idaho, his home while working at the Sunshine Mine. He returned to his family and friends in Pocatello around 1989 where he worked at the local Wal-Mart shoe repair store and donated time to the DNCFR Committee.

Ron was an outdoorsman; enjoying fishing and hunting. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and telling stories of days gone by. Ron was quick to offer a friendly smile and never met a stranger. He will be missed by many family and friends, young and old.

Ron is survived by his two daughters, Gayle Regan, Lake Stevens, WA and Spring Dawn, San Diego, CA; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his two sisters Marsha Regan, Pocatello, ID; Kathy (Darrell) Lish, Inkom, ID and numerous nieces and nephews. He also cherished the love and relationship of Cheryl Regan, Bellevue, WA and Patricia Garver, Post Fall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Faye, infant sister, Dianne Regan and niece, Julie Lish Martinez.

Funeral memorial services will be held Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., with Military Rites provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive frinds one hour prior to services. Arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
