Sammy Chandler Johnson

Laurel “Sammy” Johnson, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2026.

Sammy lived her life with strength, love, and willingness to embrace whatever life brought her way. She was a mother and grandmother who cherished her family and the time they shared together.

Sammy is survived by her sons, Nicholas (Angela) Chandler, and Kenneth Ryan Chandler; her grandchildren, Madysin, Katlynn, Ethan, Alliann, and Axle; and her great-grandchildren, Annalynn, Zyon, and Maizlee. She is also survived by her sister, Pam Liliguist, and her brother, Joe Chandler and William “Bill” Chandler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Beatrice Chandler, her brother Steven Chandler, and her husband, Kenneth Johnson.

Sammy will be remembered for the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she created with those closest to her. Her passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of her family and friends, but the love she shared will continue to live on through them.

She is now free from pain and walking peacefully in Heaven. While we will miss her more than words can express, we can take comfort in knowing that she is at peace. May Sammy rest peacefully, forever surrounded by the love of those who will carry her memory in their hearts.

A Celebration of Sammy’s life will be held on Monday 08/31/2026 at 6pm at the LDS Church in Inkom (801 Rapid Creek Rd)
