Spencer Deloy Roberts

Spencer Deloy Roberts, age 64 passed away in Murray, Utah on December 22, 2016. He was born on March 17, 1952 in Weiser, Idaho to Luther Ensign Roberts and his wife Enid Hadlock Roberts. He was the youngest of seven children. Spencer is survived by his sisters, brothers and their spouses, Leola and Ralph Rowley, Dorothy and John Mitchell, Lloyd and Adelia Roberts, Bradley and Lyla Roberts, Boyd and Amy Roberts, and lastly, Sidney and Brenda Roberts.

Spencer grew up on the family farm in Weiser, Idaho. Graduating from Weiser High School in 1971. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Scotland from 1972-1974. He worked on the family farm for several years before moving to Salt Lake City where he met and later married Teresa Collins. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on September 23, 1988. Their first child Douglas Spencer Roberts was born on January 23, 1992. Spencer and his wife were later blessed with twin daughters, Crystal and Chelsea Roberts, born on October 17,1994. Shortly after the twins were born, they moved to West Valley City, Utah where they have since resided.

Spencer was employed by SkyWest Airlines for 16 years at the time of his death. He was very passionate about the work he did and he was very close to his SkyWest family. Spencer was kind to all and had the biggest heart for others. His compassion for people will be treasured by everyone that knew him. Spencer always put his family first and he will be dearly missed.

The family is welcoming everyone to attend all services. The viewing will be held on Friday, January 6th from 6-8pm. We will have an additional viewing at 8am with the funeral services following at 9 on Saturday, January 7th. The services will be held at the Hunter 11th Ward LDS Chapel. The address is 5065 W. Janette Avenue, West Valley City, Utah, 84120. The graveside services will be at the Redwood Memorial Cemetery following the funeral.
