Starla Raye Skeem

Starla Raye Skeem, age 66, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, March 2, 2019. She was born on December 26, 1952 to Leemon Durwood Petersen and Emma Joy Kirk in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Cyprus High School in Magna, Utah in 1971. She married David Myron Skeem in the Salt Lake LDS temple on November 17, 1972. Together they raised eight children—five daughters and three sons—in McCammon, Idaho. With her family, Starla travelled across the United States teaching her children how to be successful entrepreneurs. She loved her children and 25 grandchildren, served faithfully in a variety of Church callings, and enjoyed interior decoration and wedding planning.

Starla was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Rodney and Eris, and one granddaughter, Vinci. She is survived by her husband, her eight children, Taniesha, Cherriese, Colton, Dainan, Tamryn, Loxsie, Shansa, Callin Royce, and 24 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 11:00 am at the McCammon LDS Stake Center, 403 W 16th Street, McCammon, ID, provided by Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel. A viewing will be held at 801 N Rapid Creek Rd, Inkom, ID, the evening before, March 7, 2019 at 6-8 PM and another will be held the day of the funeral at 10 am at the McCammon LDS Stake Center. One hour prior to the funeral service.
