Thelma Chandler Hiltbrand Baldwin, 90, our beloved mother passed away peacefully to the other side of the veil, where she was greeted by her loving husband and son on Sunday, November 10, 2013 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

She was born April 3, 1923, in Inkom, Idaho, the daughter of James Victor and Agnes Luvera Davids Chandler.

She married Clarence A. Hiltbrand on June 21, 1946, for time and all eternity in the L.D.S. Idaho Falls Temple. Clarence passed away on January 1, 1973. She married Abram Ray Baldwin on July 3, 1986, for time, in the L.D.S. Idaho Falls Temple. He passed away April 7, 2001.

She lived in Pocatello, Idaho from 1949 to 2002. Her last years were in Idaho Falls, Idaho . She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints. She served a mission in Ohio from 1982 to 1983. She served a mission with Ray Baldwin in Kentucky from 1987 to 1989. She served as Primary President in her ward and stake. She also served as Relief Society President and many years as a den mother in Cub Scouts.

She was a wonderful lady and will be missed by all who knew her in this life. She touched many souls and will receive much joy with all those she brought back to The Father. She embarks now, unencumbered by physical ailments or pain, on a new mission. We love you mom and will miss you, but we know we will see you, dad, and Gary again. Till then, we bid you adieu.

Thelma is survived by her sons, Stephen (Lorraine) Hiltbrand, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Bruce (Corrie) Hiltbrand, Pocatello, Idaho; step-sons, Donald (Helen) Baldwin, Pocatello, Idaho; Mark (Jean) Baldwin, Ogden, Utah; George (Debbie) Baldwin, Taylorville, Utah; Richard (Nedra) Baldwin, Newdale, Idaho; daughter-in-law, Julie Hiltbrand, Grand Junction, Colorado; step-daughters, Margaret (Sid) Call, Boise, Idaho; Ann (Dennis) Bodily, Boise, Idaho; Kim (Earl) Bishop, Rigby, Idaho; brothers, Samuel Chandler, George (Lorene) Chandler, Seren (Peggy) Chandler, all of Inkom, Idaho; sisters, Denese White, Bancroft, Idaho; Anora Wood, Pocatello, Idaho; Marie Moser, Inkom, Idaho; Pril Hale, Pocatello, Idaho; Beatrice Shaffer, Inkom, Idaho; 9 grandchildren, Tiffany (Kris) Tolman; Troy (Melissa) Hiltbrand; Lacy Hiltbrand; Jenna (Sam) Hasbrouck; Brett (Stephanie) Hiltbrand; Nicole (Shawn) Stanger; Patrick Hiltbrand, Chris Hiltbrand, Brian Hiltbrand; 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 2 husbands; son, Gary Hiltbrand; brother, Orson Chandler; sisters, Maren Barron and Alice Jones; sister-in-law, Beatrice Chandler, Margaret Chandler; brothers-in-laws, Homer Barron, Warren Jones, John White, George Wood, Don Moser, Robert Hale, Edward Shaffer.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Skyline L.D.S. Ward Chapel (150 Snow Peak Blvd.) with Bishop Ernest Moser of the Rapid Creek Ward officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, November 15, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. and on Saturday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel.
