Vee Claudia Witt

Vee Claudia Witt, known affectionately to her friends and family as Vee, peacefully passed away on June 16, 2026, in Chubbuck, Idaho, just a week before her 77th birthday. Born on June 23, 1949, in Gallup, New Mexico, Vee’s journey through life was one marked by kindness, enduring love, and a quick, sparkling sense of humor that made every room brighter.

Vee’s early years unfolded in the sunlit surroundings near Gallup, where she attended local schools and formed friendships and memories that she cherished all her days. Her education rooted her deeply in the values of compassion and perseverance—qualities that became the hallmarks of her character and that she brought into her career and personal life.

Professionally, Vee dedicated herself as a Customer Service Representative for Convergy’s, where her warmth and patience touched coworkers and customers alike. Her commitment to her work spoke to a central pillar of who Vee was: someone who strove to help others feel heard and cared for. She had a way of making even the briefest encounters meaningful, and many remember her for the comfort and laughter she shared, no matter the circumstance.

Life outside of work brimmed with pleasures both simple and grand. Vee developed a deep love for golf, a passion she shared with her lifelong partner, Tom. Their time on the course was more than a sport; it was the backdrop for laughter, adventure, and companionship. Tom, who taught her to golf, became not just her teacher but her soulmate for many happy years.

Vee also delighted in catching up with friends on Facebook, a modern twist to her lifelong habit of staying connected to those she loved. She was an avid card and board game player, always ready for spirited competition or a quiet evening around the table. Her beloved dog, Doc, was her constant companion and confidant. Vee’s appreciation for life’s little delights, the excitement of travel—spoke to her zest for exploration and her joy in sharing experiences with others.

Described by those closest to her as kind, loving, and unfailingly quick-witted, Vee had an innate ability to make people feel loved and encouraged. Her wit was sharp, her wisdom gently given, and her laughter infectious.

Vee’s passing leaves an emptiness in the hearts of those whose lives she touched. She is survived by her Lifelong Partner Thomas Morgan; a brother Chris Witt; a sister Frances Teel; a brother Von Witt, and a brother Rusty Witt, each of whom carries forward the lessons and love they shared with her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Vaughn Witt and Margarette McQuade, and a brother Mike Witt, whose memory was ever close to her heart.

While words cannot fully capture the light Vee brought into this world, her legacy lives on in the kindness she practiced, the laughter she inspired, and the love she gave so freely. The many friends and family who survive her will continue to celebrate her remarkable life, holding close the joyous moments and the warmth she left behind.

Services will be held for Vee at later date in New Mexico.
