Born September 17, 1919 in Pocatello, Idaho and passed away September 29, 2011 at the age of 92. She was the 5th child of Arthur Thomas Mathews and Hannah Iversen Mathews. She had a happy childhood surrounded by loving parents and 6 wonderful sisters. They learned to work hard and play hard. Grandma Mathews would not allow her daughters to quarrel in the home. She worked at the Army Air Base in Pocatello where she met and married Richard Francis Honstetter. They had two children, Susan and Richard Paul. Dick was killed in an accident in 1947 and Vivian raised her 3 children by herself. When they were grown she married Kenneth Proctor. They were later divorced.

Vivian worked as a secretary for many years and upon retirement served an L.D.S. mission to the Louisville, Kentucky Mission. She was very active in the church and served in many callings and leadership positions. She was always dependable and well organized. She had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ.

Vivian was always very health conscious and kept herself busy and active. She belonged to many clubs and organizations as well as her church activity.

She is survived by two daughters, Gail (Lyman) Taylor, Pocatello and Susan (Barry) Edwards, Moreland. Two Sisters, Elaine Prescott, Pocatello, and Lorraine Harrop, Idaho Falls; Twelve Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
