William Paul Harris

Claremont,California- William Paul Harris, 87, formerly of McCammon, Idaho, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 in Claremont, California.

He was born November 3, 1924 in Tyhee, Idaho, the son of Adelbert Elais and Mae Belle Howell Harris. He lived for a time in Twin Falls and Boise, Idaho. He attended Junior High School in McCammon, Idaho. He then moved to Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. He served in the United States Army and was station in Italy. He married Dixie Lou Springstead.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He greatly enjoyed barbershop quartets. He was very creative by taking peoples junk and turning it into treasures. He loved to B-B-Q for family and friends. He worked for Sears for many years and retired from Sears.

William is survived by two sons, Bruce (Patti) Finn; Kevin (Lisa) Harris; two daughters, Marsha (Bob) Holtz; Paula K. Harris; two brothers, Robert Valline; Douglas Harris; two sisters, Joanne Florio; Sheila Kessler; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 57 years, Dixie Harris; 2 brothers, Delbert Harris; Raymond Valline; 1 sister, Geraldine Donnelly; step-father, Lester Valline.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Norton Cemetery, McCammon, Idaho with Military Rites provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.
